Bremen Heart Centre

The private cardiology and angiology clinic (Bremen Heart Centre), which was founded in 1989 by Dr. Klaus T. Kallmayer at Paracelsus Hospital in Bremen, has grown into one of Northern Germany’s major heart centres with eight associates, a total number of 12 interventional cardiology consultants and 55 nursing and administrative staff. It runs five non-invasive clinics at the Bremen centre, two in the neighboring city of Delmenhorst and one specialized in angiogology in Lilienthal. The facility also operates a 24 bed day clinic, three cardiac catherization laboratories at Links der Weser Hospital, another angiology laboratory in Lilienthal, cardiac CT and nuclear medicine. Since 2002 the private group operates the interventional services of Bremen State Heart Centre at Links der Weser Hospital with additional 5 interventional cardiologists, offering 24/7 service for acute coronary syndromes and heart attacks to Nothwestern Germany. The cardiology group Dr. Kallmayer & Partners takes care of 8,000 interventional cases and 18,000 out-patients per year. The clinic continues to expand in the Greater Bremen region. In 2006 Dr. Kallmayer and five of his associates founded their first overseas operation, German Heart Centre Bremen at Dubai Healthcare City.
